Rachel Heiber

Program Manager of Adult Literacy

Rachel Heiber is the Program Manager of Adult Literacy, a program designed to improve literacy outcomes and empower adults to participate more fully in their communities.

Rachel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Moderate – Intensive Special Education from Ohio University. Her professional history includes teaching and program planning through DSACO and a social services agency serving low-income children and families. She originally joined the DSACO team in August 2016 as a Program Coordinator of Education, Recreation, and Social Services. While she took a brief hiatus to work elsewhere, she is a boomerang employee who couldn’t resist coming back in May of 2021 as part of the Learning Aid Ohio Team. No matter her role, Rachel’s passion is in working with families, meeting them where they are, and doing her best to provide support and encouragement to get them where they want to be.

Rachel lives in Fairfield County with her husband, Noah, daughter, Charlotte, and dog, Luna. Her sister with Down syndrome, Lauren, lives five minutes down the road. In her spare time, she loves to hike in Hocking Hills, play or coach tennis, and curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea!
