Elizabeth “Boo” Krucky, Program Coordinator of Teen and Adult Services, joined the DSACO team in March 2022. Boo graduated from Quincy University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. She moved from Missouri to Columbus to be a computer programmer. After two and a half years, she decided to change careers so she would feel “more alive” in her job by working with adults with developmental disabilities. Prior to her start with DSACO, over 30 years she held a handful of different roles at Goodwill Columbus in their Adult Day Services. As DSACO’s Program Coordinator of Teen and Adult Services, Boo’s main responsibilities are the coordination of Virtual Cooking Classes, Stamping Club, the Adult Conference, and other teen and adult initiatives throughout the year.
Boo and her husband (Ryan) volunteer as coaches with the Gators Mountain Bike Park Race Team for children. She lives fulltime in an RV in the Columbus area with Ryan and their dog (Gizmo). In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to non-fiction audiobooks, and being playfully active. Boo has been connected to the greater Down syndrome community since 1971, when her sister, Lyn, was born with Down syndrome.
