iCan Bike Camp

Biking is more than just exercise and transportation: it’s a social activity, rite of passage, and first taste of independence. Transforming biking into an inclusive activity is the mission of iCanBike, a national organization that conducts bike camps for people with special needs. This unique approach has enabled thousands with a variety of disabilities to become independent bicycle riders.
Requirements for Participation (Rider must meet all criteria below):
- Minimum age – 10 years old at time of camp
- Have a disability
- Able to walk without an assistive device
- Willing and able to wear a properly fitted bike helmet (Not Provided)
- Able to sidestep to both sides
- Able to attend camp all 5 days
- Maximum weight of 220 lbs.
- Minimum inseam of 20” (measure from floor while rider is wearing sneakers)\
- Every rider is required to have their own personal bicycle by Wednesday of Camp
DSACO needs many volunteers to make this camp a success. If you are interested in volunteering for at least one session, all 5 days of camp, please sign up today! All volunteers must be 15 years old by the start of camp. This is a great opportunity to gain service hours!
