“It’s My Turn” Training is a self-determination curriculum for students with disabilities in middle school through high school. It is a fun, interactive day of discovery. Students learn about themselves by:
- Developing a personal profile which helps them become more aware of their choices and abilities.
- Exploring options best suited to the student based on his/her own personal needs and interests.
- Setting goals and learning the steps he/she must take to reach them.
“It’s My Turn” Training helps make the transition process from school into adult life easier for students and to help them become better self-advocates.
The training will take place on Saturday, May 5th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the DSACO Office. A light Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.
